Students who think they may take Chinese in Year 11 should select the full year course CH10 and CH20. This is so they are prepared for the Level 1 NCEA Curriculum.

Purpose:

To build listening, speaking, interacting, reading and writing skills. To develop grammatical knowledge and broaden vocabulary. To increase cultural knowledge.

Content:

Students understand and communicate information and ideas in Chinese relating to their daily lives eg. family, clothes, weather and leisure activities.

Assessment:

Assessments in the four key skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
