Whanganui High School has hosted international students for the past 25 years. Our focus is on your happiness and enjoyment of your international experience. Our international team are kind and caring and provide many exciting opportunities for you to experience our beautiful country.

International students also select Whanganui High School for their education when they want to be away from the distractions of the big cities, want to concentrate on learning English and prepare for entry to university.

Our school will offer you a huge variety of subjects to choose from, including languages, the arts and technology, a multitude of sporting opportunities, including rowing, athletics and sports’ performance training as well as the chance to be part of shows and musical groups.

As an international student, you will become a member of your homestay family. This will also provide lots of opportunities to practise your English-speaking skills.
