🏐 WOW — what a season for our WHS JA1 Netball Team! 🏐

What a way to finish the 2026 season! Our JA1 team competed in the Premier 3 competition, taking on club teams as well as our own WHS A2 team. After an outstanding season, the girls made it through to the finals and were crowned 2026 Premier 3 Champions! 🏆

Their success didn’t stop there! Winning Premier 3 earned them a place in the Premier 2 promotion/relegation game, where they faced Pirates A2. The team stepped up once again and came away with the win! 🎉

This means our JA1 team will be moving up to Premier 2 in 2027, playing on Monday nights alongside some of the region’s top teams, including Collegiate A1.

At the Netball Whanganui Awards Evening on Wednesday 16 September, the team were presented with their Premier 3 Champions trophy and were then thrilled to be named Secondary School Team of the Year! 🏆👏

A large number of the team also represented Whanganui at representative level throughout the season, making their achievements even more impressive.

A huge thank you to Mrs Bailee Kauika for the time, commitment and support she has given these girls throughout the season. Your coaching and encouragement have played a huge part in their success.
