Whanganui High School Sports - Tournament Week

Huge congratulations to our Girls Badminton team who finished today winning Gold in the Division 2 at NZSS Badminton in Porirua. Their week of games has been outstanding.

They played wonderfully, encouraging each other all the way and gave it their all and it certainly paid off. Thank you to Mr Hall and Miss Kirk for supporting the girls all week.

All of these scores got team points which is great.

Unfortunately our last rider Livi Heerdegen has had to pull out of the competition due to her pony gaining a back injury.

Quiz: Hannah and Aimee did well on their quiz scoring 100% and 80% respectively

Lily and Olivia were given a very hard test about the enzymes in a horses stomach but still managed to score 50% for the team.

Boys 1st XI Football

Boys football only played one game today in the later stages. Played against Kerikeri High School, another good team from Auckland. Our boys won 2-0, and played some very nice football.

Boys 1st XI Hockey

Boys hockey had a great 2-0 win over Hauriki Plains College.

Girls 1st XI Hockey had a great game today. Came away with a 3-3 draw against Long Bay College.

Netball A1 Day 4

Girls came away with 2 great wins

29-28 Win v Upper Hutt

34-29 Win v NPGHS

Tomorrow’s game is 11.30am v Inglewood High for a chance to finish 17th or 18th out of 32 teams.

Junior Boys Football

Boys junior football played a very impressive Westlake, losing 1-5. Very physical game

They then played Liston College in their second game winning 2-0. This means they play for 5th/6th place in their final game against Rutherford College.
