🏉🇯🇵 What a fantastic week of rugby and cultural exchange!

Our Rugby Sevens tournament wrapped up on Friday with an exciting 35–21 final between Manukura and Otemon Gakuin High School. Congratulations to Manukura on the win 👏

The rivalry isn’t over just yet - the two teams will meet again next month at the Sanix Tournament in Fukuoka, and the Otemon girls are already looking forward to the rematch!

It’s been a wonderful week of sport, friendship and connection. We farewelled our Otemon guests yesterday and look forward to seeing them back here again in 2028.

A big thank you to Whanganui Rugby for running the training sessions and organising a fantastic tournament. We're also very grateful to Larson Whittaker for the photos.
