Purpose:
Students explore how societies work, and how students can participate and take action as critical, informed and responsible citizens.
Content:
Students will gain a rich understanding of Aotearoa New Zealand's history and its place in the world, and reflect on their own opinions, values and identities. Students will develop a variety of social inquiry skills, which will enhance their ability to process, evaluate, interpret and present information from a variety of sources.
Assessment:
Regular formative and summative assessments, including a range of inquiries.
