Purpose:
To develop an understanding of a design process and practical skills through the manufacture of a small guitar. This will enable students to develop confidence in both applying a design process and fabricating a complex solution.
Content:
All students will make a small guitar with the option to design certain elements in order to personalise their instrument. They will develop manufacturing skills through working with a range of hard materials. Students will be taught practical skills and the expectations of safe workshop practice.
Assessment:
Portfolio work and practical solution.
