PURPOSE: To enable students to learn to make artworks and to develop an understanding of Art. Emphasis is on the Art of aotearoa New Zealand.

CONTENT: Sources of motivation for making artworks arising from:

  1. Different levels of experience.
  2. Technical knowledge about materials and equipment.
  3. Knowledge about appropriate ways of working.
  4. Knowledge about form, processes, media and culture.

ASSESSMENT: Achievement Based.
